!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! determination !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Go go go!!!

I want to reach Higher......
If I could be stronger!

Wow!!! I attended my company's seminar yesterday!
They showed us 2 videos... the first one is about Dr. William Tan!
Looking at him truly inspire me.........

I can reach higher!!!!!!!
And I can be stronger!!!!!!!!

Jesus!!

Below is a short story about him.. read on to be inspired too....

I put his picture as my wall paper... reminding me that truly, nothing is impossible in this world... aim for not what i am, but what I could be!

Whenever I face ostacles in life, I can always remind myself that with determination, dream do come true.

Talking about seeing the world, this man have seen the world!!!

He really inspire me.

Thank you Lord, this is really one good way to inspire me to go to Aceh in December to build houses for the victims of Tsunami.

Yes, I will go!!! I will go!!!

I will go despite the negatives comments from my sister about the hard work there & if i can really take it physically.

I will train up in this 2 months physically as well as spiritually.

I will take this as a challenge for myself. =)

The 2nd video is "forrest gump"

To be frank, when i watched this show years ago, I didnt really catch the spirit and it didnt really leave a strong print in my heart.

This time, as the screen showed the scene whereby Forrest ran & ran & ran & he succeeded in truly running and he conquered his own inadequacies of his braces on his legs.

I was so motivated that I went jogging again last night!!! hahaaa..... Men, running is great!!! It train my determination to go on despite the temporary pain that i faced in my body.

Of cos, it motivates me to go all the way in my career too!! Ganbatte Shirley! You can do it!!!
I want to see the world! I want to go to Sydney 2006!

The mini convention 2006 is a free trip to Sydney!! I want to go! & I will go!!!
I will not lose! I will succeed!

10 marathons….7 continents….70 days

It was an amazing conquest which showed the plucky determination and grit of NUS alumnus Dr William Tan – completing 10 marathons in seven continents in 70 days. The 10 marathons were all the more remarkable as they were conducted within the confines of a wheelchair. Dr Tan is also the first person in the world to conduct a wheelchair push in Antartica.
Known for undertaking numerous marathons to raise funds for charity, Dr Tan’s recent challenge to raise $1.5 million for a Professorship in Paediatric Oncology in NUS, has proven to be his most ambitious project.

Covering a total distance of more than 400 km, the races were held in Fin del Mundo (Argentina), Phoenix and Boston (United States), Vancouver (Canada), Cape Town (South Africa), Amsterdam (Netherlands), Bangkok (Thailand), Canberra (Australia), Queenstown (New Zealand) and Antartica.

Frost-bitten and blistered fingers, jet lag, missing wheels, logistical hiccups and wheelchair malfunctions were some of the hindrances Dr Tan experienced, which threaten to jeopardize the race. His right hand was caught in the wheel while racing in Arizona; he sustained chest injuries while in Amsterdam; and in Bangkok, he nearly missed his marathon because of a traffic jam. The worst encounter he had was being stuck in the two-foot deep mud in Antartica and had to be rescued by five other runners. Nonetheless, with Dr Tan’s persevering spirit, these obstacles only serve to strengthen his resolve in completing the race.

Dr Tan’s admirable feat has been submitted to the Guinness World Record for consideration. The current Guinness World Record is held by Briton Tim Rogers, an able-bodied man who finished seven marathons on seven continents in 99 days in 1999.
