I planned a trip to Thailand, bangkok with Hannah this Dec. However, our hotel is still pending as most of the nicer hotels are fully booked. Lord, I pray that You will give us the best hotel that is value for money. Lord, bless our trip as I commit my plan into Your hands. Have Your ways... if its not Your will for us to go this year, cancel our trip for us. Thank you Lord. In jesus name i pray, Amen!

Lord, lead me to a great job. Thank you!

Lord, I pray for Serin and Bernat that they will continue to grow in You. That they will walk in faith, and grow in wisdom and grace. Help them, Lord, to see You as who You really are. I thank you for their salvations and I sealed them in Jesus's name.

Lord, I pray for Rachael Yap and Elva that You will healed her of her sicknesses. That she will not fall sick easily. Lord, pls grant her good health. In Jesus'name I pray, Amen.

Lord, I pray for Peck Lian that You will bless her with flying colors results for her examinations. Thank you Lord. In Jesus'name I pray, Amen.

Protect Jeffrey with the blood of Jesus. Thank you Lord!

Today, I was distressed when I read the news abt the passing away of Prof. Murthy. Prof. Murthy was my Marketing Services lecturer at NTU. A great man, passionate abt life and enthusiatic abt teaching. Even though I didnt know him personally... this news brought tears to my eyes.

Life is fragile. No one can guarantee that tomorrow is certain for them. No one knows the future, only God knows. It is therefore so important that we do notdo or say anything that we might regret in future for tomorrow may never come. Love someone, say it. Spend time with your family, good friends and doing things worth your time. Worrying abt work, studies, exams, money, wants... may not be necessary when you realise that they form a small part of your life as compared to your family and friends. At the end of it all, find meaning in life. Know why you are living and who you are living for. For me, God is the reason I'm alive. I find meaning in life only when I know Him in my life.

I learn to treasure my family more... even more so after my mom passed away in Feb this year.
I learn to show more love to my family. Talk to them, spend time, say out my love.... not till they are not around... then regret for what I have not done.

I went to send my younger brother, Jeffrey off on Friday's night. He went to Thailand as part of his NS serving. It's worth it to travel for an hour just to spend 30min with him. To simply be there, pray for him and walk around the airport with him.

Hi, today I received the below letters from gospel for asia. Reading them always encourage me to press on....

Many times, we as Christians in Singapore can easily share Christ/good news with our friends and loved ones, in the hope that they will come to receive the greatest gift on earth, salvation. Christians in India/China..etc face tremendous persecutions daily just to share this good news with their friends.

Oh Lord, help us as Christians to realise that we need to share in spite of the insults/persecutions/rejections we may faced. Grant us strength and boldness to proclaim Your good news.

Many non-believers find it a torture to listen to us Christians preaching God's words. Many would run or even outcast us.

But how can they ever understood that all that we do is out of compassion and love....
...........and how grateful they will be to those who share when their eyes are opened to see the truths.

Lord, I pray that all non-believers will not hesitate to receive You into their lives. May their eyes be opened and hearts softened....

In Jesus's Most powerful and wonderful name, Amen! :)

Dear Ms. Shirley, I can’t forget the story I heard a few months ago from one of our missionaries serving the Lord in North India. With scars on his face and back, his body literally bore the marks of persecution. “They asked me to deny Christ,” he told me. “They said they would kill me and cut my tongue out if I didn’t deny Him.”Such threats are not uncommon for our 14,000 missionaries sharing Christ in some of the most unreached areas of the 10/40 Window. Yet time and time again, they boldly continue the work God has called them to so they can reach their people for Jesus. I was gripped by what this courageous brother in North India uttered next: “I prayed, ‘Lord, I’d rather come home and be with you. Let them kill me. I do not want to deny you.’”By God’s grace, this brother’s life was spared, and his tongue stayed intact. Each year, however, a few of our missionaries pay the ultimate price for their faith—martyrdom. Yet along with the increased persecution in the past several years has come the unprecedented growth of the Church in the Indian subcontinent. Multitudes are coming to Christ and experiencing His peace and forgiveness.Dear friend, thank you so much for your prayers on behalf of our brothers and sisters on the other side of the world as they daily risk their lives for the sake of the Gospel. Through your prayers, you share in the harvest of precious souls, as our missionaries are planting more than 10 churches a day among the unreached. Please continue to stand in the gap for these native evangelists and for the millions who still wait to hear the Gospel. It is my hope that the reports below of faith in the midst of persecution will be an encouragement and challenge to you as you serve our loving Savior today. Your brother in Christ, K.P. Yohannan Founder & President Gospel for Asia

No Turning Back - 11/23/04

Like many GFA Bible college students, Rajesh is already seeing results from his efforts—in the past six months, eight people have come to Christ through his weekend outreach. His success hasn’t come without a price to be paid.Evangelizing in a village one day, Rajesh was approached by members of a radical anti-Christian group. “Stop preaching the Gospel,” they demanded, “or we will take away your bicycle and burn you alive.” These were no idle threats; this group is known in the area for its persecution of Christians.“At that moment,” Rajesh remembers, “the Lord empowered me and helped me stand firm.” God in His mercy and power protected the young missionary’s life that day. “Praise the Lord!” Rajesh writes. “Please pray for the people who oppose our ministry to believe in Christ.”Give thanks for a young man surrendered to God’s call on his life, even if it means persecution. You and I have the privilege to pray for such brothers. God meets us in a special way as we share in His work across the globe.

Beaten for Sharing Christ - 11/23/04Laboring to reach souls in an area of Orissa, India, GFA missionary Sandeep leads a mobile team that travels from village to village, telling others about Jesus and helping to plant churches among the unreached. In one village, enemies of the Gospel attacked the team members, beating them very badly. By God’s intervention, their lives were spared. Sandeep and his team could have given up. Instead, Sandeep writes, they began to pray fervently for the village. Today they pray that God will soften the hearts of the very men who opposed them. And that’s not all—they regularly go back to share the Good News among those who persecuted them.Pray that these faithful Gospel workers will lead many to the feet of Jesus. Your prayers will make such a difference in the lives of these missionaries and the souls they are laboring to reach.

Homeless for Jesus’ Sake - 11/22/04In his first months of being a Christian, Lal has tasted persecution for loving his Savior. When Lal’s family found out about his faith in Jesus, they wanted nothing to do with him. They threw him out of the house.Lal was able to rent a house to live in. He continues to grow in the Lord and meets regularly with other believers for fellowship. Even the pain of being disowned by his family in the close-knit Asian society is not too much to bear, Lal says. “Compared with what Jesus suffered to save me,” he relates, “whatever I am going through is nothing.”Today Lal is training for ministry under a GFA missionary. He serves his Lord with a joyous heart. Pray Lal stays close to Jesus, growing daily in grace and knowledge. Your prayers for the salvation of his family will mean so much to Lal.

Today's devotion

Galatians 6

We Reap What We Sow

1Dear brothers and sisters, if another Christian[1] is overcome by some sin,
you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the
right path. And be careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself.
2Share each other's troubles and problems, and in this way obey the law of
Christ. 3If you think you are too important to help someone in need, you are
only fooling yourself. You are really a nobody.
4Be sure to do what you should, for then you will enjoy the personal
satisfaction of having done your work well, and you won't need to compare
yourself to anyone else. 5For we are each responsible for our own conduct.
6Those who are taught the word of God should help their teachers by
paying them.
7Don't be misled. Remember that you can't ignore God and get away with it.
You will always reap what you sow! 8Those who live only to satisfy their own
sinful desires will harvest the consequences of decay and death. But those
who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit. 9So
don't get tired of doing what is good. Don't get discouraged and give up, for
we will reap a harvest of blessing at the appropriate time. 10Whenever we
have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone, especially to our
Christian brothers and sisters.
