God is amazing!

2 months ago on 26 Feb 06, Brandon & I went to door knock at this particular block near my place. I was there trying to sell my services. I collected 6 names whom I can contact in future.
I did not contact them for the next 3 months.

On 23 May 06, I took out the piece of paper scribbled with my handwriting those names & numbers and I decided to call them for the first time.

I looked at the paper and this name "Mr. Goh" appealed to me and I called him immediately even though he is 2nd on my list.

I couldn't quite remember him.

I offer my services (Financial review) and he began to share. He sounded depressed. He was desvastated and hopeless. He continued to pour out his heart, his problems to me. He has just attempted sucide but didn't succeed. He told me many many heartaches and troubles in his family.

I counselled him and felt alot for him as he shared. At the end of the call, I offer to pray for him and he is very open. Thank God for the call!

After that, I continued to feel alot for him & i continue praying. And I was thinking to myself, "How can I help him? His problems are too big & complicated for me!"

"I can pray. Only God can help. What else, Shirley? The bible says that when we see someone in need, do not just wish him well & go away. Offer food/shelter/blanklet to him if you can.

" Yes, I can do the minimum. Bring food for him & his family!"

SO today, 28 May 06, we went to buy many goceries; rice, eggs, drink, canned food, biscuits, bee hoon, noodles, nuggets..etc and brought them to his house.

Spent a good time listening to him and we prayed for the whole family! The sick dad, Mr. Goh & his 2 children. God is good!

I believe that God has sent us to him because God loves him so much. God sees his need and He minister to him right away.

I wouldn't have chosen that particular block, that particular family and "Mr. Goh" to call if it wasn't in God's plan.

God is good! Open your heart and let God use you to minister to different people in your lives. Even if they are strangers.

If you are the one feeling depressed, desvastated and hopeless, remember that there is NOTHING that CANT be solved in life. Cry out to God and He will help you.
